Born in Vietnam and rooted in China, Luan Quach's artistic journey began at the age of nine, under the tutelage of five distinct teachers over the course of a decade. Each mentor shared their unique styles and mediums, laying the groundwork for his multifaceted approach to art. Luan moved to Canada in 1979 and pursued an engineering career in the automotive industry, honing his left-brain analytical skills. Simultaneously, his early exposure to art fostered his right-brain creativity. This unique combination of skills produces works that are both meticulously crafted and profoundly imaginative.

Luan found his niche by blending classical portraiture techniques with watercolours, a rare combination. While most portrait artists favor oils or acrylics, and watercolorists often avoid detailed anatomy, his work stands out across both fields. With bold colors and emotional depth, each painting becomes a personal and evocative experience. Through his art, Luan weaves life stories and spiritual connections, capturing the essence of his subjects’ souls.

Luan, a renowned portrait artist who has won 65 awards in 20 countries over the last four years, is highly sought after for custom portraits and private collections all over the world.
